“A Sunday Kind of Joy” Series
Each story finds Joy learning about the Bible in Sunday School class. She is fond of her teacher, Sister Martha Lyn. She loves going with her mother. She learns in Sunday School and she remembers most memory verses. Joy only has one problem with Sunday School and that is The Review. Joy finds excuses, racks her brain, and tries to figure out why The Review was created. It is one of things she could do without, like a pesky mosquito bite or burnt popcorn. Once The Review has ended, Joy tries to apply the lesson scripture to her everyday life. Every time, Joy finds herself unable to apply the scripture in a sensible way. It takes her Grandma Ruth to show her what God’s Word really means.
